After a hugely successful event in July 2008,
Temwa is back with another ‘Art For Africa’ street art auction.

Featuring some of Bristol’s world-renowned street artists,
this exciting event will raise money for Temwa’s sustainable
community-based projects in Malawi, Africa…

Among the canvasses exhibited and auctioned will be new pieces
by:

• Mr Jago
• Paris
• Dicy
• Will Barras
• Piro
• Mister Parker
• Seza
• Mr Riks
• Retro Boy
• MKWF
• Fernando Alves
• Cheba
• Nikill
• Lokey
• Cheo
• Felix ‘Flx’ Braun
• Tom Moore
• H.Ren

And if that wasn’t enough, revellers will also be entertained
by classic soul, funk and hiphop from the Monster Piece DJs,
The Disco Two.

Entry is free and raffle tickets cost just £1.00 each…
This year the raffle is as ultra tempting as last year
and the prizes are:

1st PRIZE – Mr Jago piece
2nd PRIZE – Tim Stephens ‘Oasis’ piece
3rd PRIZE – Temwa’s TemPlates Vol. 1 CD

All art works has been donated and it is only through the
generosity of our supporting artists that we are able to
organise what will be an exceptional evening. Remember,
100% of proceeds raised will go directly to Temwa.

This is a short write up from one of the previous events
visitors:

“As someone who doesn’t know a great deal about graffiti art,
I initially went to the Art for Africa event to support the
very worthwhile Temwa cause. My mind was soon changed as soon
as I saw the fantastic pieces of art donated by Paris and Jago,
amongst others. The pieces were all so unique and original it
was clear to see why people were falling over themselves to
bid for them! The up-beat atmosphere, combined with the music
courtesy of Monster Piece DJs meant that it was a fantastic
evening, with a great amount of money made for Temwa. I’m just
gutted I didn’t manage to win one of the raffle prizes!”
